The Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (“LIBE“) Committee voted in favour of entering into interinstitutional negotiations, and voted on how the negotiating team would be comprised. This was passed by a vote of 31 votes in favour for the entering into of negotiations, with 24 against and 1 abstention.

The European Parliament will be asked to confirm this decision to formally enter into negotiations at its plenary session.
